sp2 beta?

i think i have a pre-release or 'beta' version of sp2 i
downloaded previously. i want to uninstall that and
install the actual cd of sp2. i went to install the cd
and it wouldn't finish, says i have the wrong cd. i
can't find the sp2 that's on my pc now to uninstall, i
think whatever version of sp2 i have is preventing me
from installing the sp2 cd. any thoughts?

Start/Run
Type "winver" ENTER
What does it say by Version?
If it is not "Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp2_rtm040803-2158 :
Service Pack 2) uninstall

Reboot to Safe Mode:
Reboot tapping F8 each second.
Select Safe Mode at the menu.
Go to Add/Remove Programs and double click Service Pack 2.
You may have to check the box near the top "Show updates"
Follow prompts to uninstall SP-2 Beta.
Reboot

Install SP-2 this way:
