SP2 causing internet / mail problems

I had to reformat my hard disk and installed xp from the recovery disk ok
When I try to install sp2. I can only open 1 or 2 pages then get error 404
messages reboot and the same happens. I have uninstalled sp2 for the time and
all works ok. I have previously had sp2 working on my PC (Advent 3214)

used ccleaner on all accounts reinstalled and rebooted and seems ok at moment
(24hrs) suspect something on daughters account will keep my eyeopen

disabled AVG scan and problem solved sorry I should have put this up as soon
as found out.
