SP2 Computer wont start

I installed SP2.
The computer boots all the way thru until where the
windows XP logo is supposed to come on the screen.
Then the computer locks up.
Get a black screen with no signal detected.
The computer will start in safe mode.
But not in the regular mode.
Any one know what is wrong here?
I installed it on my other computer without a problem.

Let me know if you have any ideas.

Does it start in Safe Mode and actually boot into Windows?

SP2 installed fine.
After installation it wanted to reboot.
That worked fine. It rebooted into SP2
Then after that I shut down the computer.
Then it wont resart now.
It does boot into safe mode all the way.
If you rstart after that and pick load windows normally
it hangs. (always boots into safe mode)
It hangs after the widows XP logo appears and the blue
progress bar is moving.
Then it goes to where I normally see the mouse cursur
just before the blue windows screen.
It is hanging up just before where the mouse cursor
appears.
I restore my backup to SP1 and it works fine.
I nstalled using the downloaded file instead of using
windows update - I dont know if that matters.

Abit ST6-Raid MB
P3 1.4 ghz
512 mb ram
Radeon 9700 pro video card
maxtor ata 133 pci card - (no drives attached)
SB Live sound Card
Linksys 100 network card

I have the same problem and now I cannot download drivers as I am stuck in
safe mode with networking to go online

I originally started this message.
Here is a brief summary of my problem.
Do you ahve the exact same problem?
If you get it resolved let me know and I will do likewise.
