Well heres my problem, I have auto-update set to notify before dl and before
install...it notified me when SP2 was ready to dl, but what happened was that
before i hit accept to start the dl i accidently unchecked the box next to
the SP2 update and nothing ended up being dl'd...that was 2-3 days
ago...auto-update has since not given me the option to dl'd SP2 again...I was
wondering if I just had to wait a little longer for it to ask me again, or if
there is a way to force it to look updates since going to the Windows Update
site only tells me that SP2 is available thru auto-update only at the present
time. Thanks for any help.

Same here, I've been waiting for 3 days now, is there any way to FORCE the
download?

You can get the entire SP2 package [266MB]
here:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
..Attempt this download only if you have Broadband [about 15 minutes]. Save
the File to My Documents; then go there and double click the file to Start
the installation process. After you finish, burn the file to a couple of CDs
[one to keep, one for family/friends to use].

Try turning off the automatic updates (click apply), then click the automatic
updates button to "notify me but don't automatically download..." (click
okay). You should get another message within a minute that an update is
available.
However, when I did this and was notified SP2 was available and clicked
"download", nothing downloaded. Hmmmm.
