I don't know for sure. My ethernet card doesn't give me a connection icon,
so I couldn't use that to check. I finally rebooted, which did not give me
back the globe, so I went to the MS Update website and downloaded/installed
SP2 using the express install option. When the download finished, the globe
popped back up on the taskbar, to let me know it was "ready to install". I
ignored it and let the "express install" from their website finish. It may
have been downloading all along, but I could not find any indication that
was happening. The express download/install seemed to go well, and I'm
currently running SP2. Good luck.
