SP2 installed on a new laptop running XP Home Edition. Appeared to install
satisfactorilly (no problems during installation) but on closing down
computer hangs with alternating messages, firstly, "Updates are being
installed (1 of 1) . . . . ." then "Do not turn off or unplug your computer:
it will turn off automatically." This loop can run for hours until I
compell the laptop to turn off. Has anyone experienced this problem? How
do I overcome it?
