None of the PC’s in our company are installing SP2, even though all have
Automatic Updates turned on and are set to install at 3am each day. Previous
updates have always installed with no problem, but SP2 does not.

Is this possibly related to the fact all our PC’s are members of a domain
(NT4) and not workgroup PC’s? I find it very strange Microsoft made a big
deal of telling everyone SP2 will auto deploy AND install after 4-12, yet
nothing has happened here.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

"Basil Rowe",

Service Pack 2 will likely DOWNLOAD to your system, but not INSTALL. (please
forgive the capital letters, which I use here for emphasis only.) Microsoft
never said, nor suggested that Service Pack 2 *would* install after 4/12.

Service Pack 2 requires the signature of a new End User License Agreement
(EULA), which means that you would need to be made aware of it, click on the
system tray icon for automatic updates, *elect* to download and install Service
Pack 2, agree to the EULA, and then watch as it either installs or downloads and
then installs.

Please post back if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Pat Walters [MSFT]
