After installing SP2 and enabling firewall support I am not able to connect
to other computers on my workgroup/domain that I have direct access to. I
have a vpn network between three routers, 192.168.1.1, 2.1, 3.1. I am on the
1.1 address space and when firewall is enabled I cannot see anyone on my
local address or the others. If I do a \\servername it returns "The network
path was not found" or if I open "My Network Places" and attempt to enumerate
other computers I recieve a network security access denied error message. If
I disable firewall support all computers on the network are properly listed
and I can then enable firewall support again and I am able to access those
resources for a short time until the firewall seems to block them again. Has
anyone had this issue? What can I do to resolve this issue?

Hi

Check if the "File and Printer Sharing" exception is enabled in the
firewall configuration, and if not, enable it and see if it helps.

This posting helped, but as a note the "File and Printer Sharing" exception
option was not present in the firewall settings after the SP2 upgrade,
Restting to defaults helped resolve this issue.
