Same here. I installed SP2 on 6 systems when it first became available using
the 266mb network download. I never turned off any programs. After
installation, I defragged the systems and that was it. No problems on any of
them. I strongly suggest that
everyone either download SP2 from here,
http://tinyurl.com/5bobl , and burn
it to cd, or order the CD from MS just in case a reinstall of XP is ever
needed.
