SP2 frustration!

I have installed sp2 and had nothing but conflict with my firewalls, crashes,
slow, changed settings. So I have uninstalled it and now still can't scan for
viruses, bots etc...even my disk defrag won't work. It just shuts down when
it's had enough....Do I remove all the hotfixes too. I have contacted
Updater, HP, Stopsign, MSN, and still can't seem to figure this out...I
restored to the date that I installed sp2 and then took it out.....what am I
to do......HELP
