SP2 installed fine.
After installation it wanted to reboot.
That worked fine. It rebooted into SP2.
Then after that I shut down the computer.
Now it won't boot into Windows. It Hangs.
Get a black screen with no signal detected.
It hangs after the widows XP logo appears and the blue
progress bar is moving.
Then it goes to where I normally see the mouse cursor
just before the blue windows welcome screen.
It is hanging up just before where the mouse cursor
appears.
The computer does boot into safe mode all the way.
If you restart after that into windows normally
it hangs again. (always boots into safe mode though)
I restored my backup to SP1 and it works fine.
I installed using the downloaded file instead of using
windows update - I don't know if that matters.
Any one know what is wrong here?
I installed it on my other computer without a problem.
Let me know if you have any ideas.
