SP2 - Hardware Failure

After installing SP2 my HP Desk Top is in a continuous boot loop. Okay MS,
what now? I was okay before loading SP2 and now, well no PC.

Can you boot into safe mode & see your event logs?

this very same thing happened to me when i tried to install
SP1, so i am skiddish about this SP2. incidentally going
into safe mode did nothing, the continuous boot remained.
i had to reinstall XP
