after all the fuss, the worry the stress, the hair pulling the checking and
re checking of threads about 'when Sp2 download attacks' i today installed
Sp2 for my Dell computer from the CD.

Believe it or not i requested i be sent one from the website. I ordered the
darn thing last week and it arrived today i was so nervious that something
was going to go wrong.I followed instructions from posts here and on another
message board from which a MVP from here directed me to...
1. did a scan with my antivirus software
2. did a scan for spyware/adware
3. defraged my drive
3. cleaned out the diskdrive
4. tep disabled my startup programs and other programs so i had a clean boot
to work with.
(note im not one of those ppl who know everything about pcs! i am a newbie)
in about 20 mins the wizard walked me through the setup and before i knew it
i was done.

Those who have fears of Dling from the winUP i strongly suggest you order a
CD.It costs you nothing even shipping is free.

To all who have responded to my past question threads i thank you...

See the Service Pack Installation Checklist:

Step 1 will tell you how to order the CD.
