I have had the same problem downloading SP2 as everyone else here seems to be
having, but when I looked in Add & Remove to see if SP2 downloaded, at the
very end of the list of Hotfixes were 3 hotfixes (SP2) I don't know why they
showed up when I don't have the SP2 download yet. Should I delete those out
of there? Thanks. P

I am thinking about forgetting about automatic updates and waiting until
Wednesday and install it the right way.

I believe SP2 upgraded all the SP1's. I have downloaded every service pack
that came out since 2001 and I have 18 SP2's now and 0 SP1.

Newer windows XP probably fixed some problems and don't need as many Service
Packs.

Someone only got three and you probably have a newer version of XP.

Hey, I don't know. I came here to see what?

I wouldn't delete any SP2's. You will just have to go through all this again.

I will give it a week, then turn on my manual update.

Ok, thanks, I'll just leave the hotfixes there. I've downloaded the SP2 and
put on a cd, but not going to install it yet. I have a lot of the security
features on the computer thats needed and would have to turn off their
firewall, pop up blocker and a/v, etc so I'm not too much in a hurry. I just
hope the SP2 has more good things to it.
