SP2 Install Aborted, now Continual Reboots, Safe Mode doesn't work

I was re-installing SP2 because last time, and this time, I keep getting an
error message when it tries to copy over 'csrsrv.dll'. Last time I ignored
all errors like this (happend 1 or 2 more times), THIS TIME I aborted
installation.

Now the computer CONTINUALLY REBOOTS and I can even get into SAFE MODE or
select any of the other options in SAFE MODE, including the 'Recover Last
Known Good Configuration etc'.

Any Help Please?

Boot from the Windows XP disk and go into Repair.

Warning.
This will not remove any updates, but they will no longer be
"installed". "Repair" will replace Windows files so will not affect
your software installations.

You can get more detail from the Microsoft Knowledge base. Lots of good
info there.

ok, more troubleshooting done and was able to solve the issue. Carl's
response was an excellent start, you do need the XP install CD, but then I
followed the steps at this link. Even though it's Root Cause had nothing to
do with mine, the symptons were the same (instructions towards the bottom
where it says 'If you cannot successfully remove Windows SP2 by using one of
the previous methods etc'):

The instructions where it tells you to type:

batch spuninst.txt
