SP2 install denies access to C drive

I sucessfully installed SP2 but now get and error message ever time I boot.
Error message says "Access Denied, drive C:" and the window is titled "Norton
Protection: ATTENTION! I can't run Disk Doctor, Speed Disk or any other disk
utility. No problem opening files or running apps. Any idea?
