sp2 installation error..Access denied

Hi,
Sp2 installation, XP pro. At about the 60% point of the
installation phase I get the message..."Access denied"
and that is all. No clue of what, when where or why.

Have shut down spam and virus programs as well as normal
used programs.

Any body have an idea? Nothing I can find on Microsoft
pages is of any help.
