SP2 installation error/ Error Code: 80070070

I have tried several times to install SP2 on XP Pro. It gets about 90% done
and backs up saying it failed. I have disabled Norton Internet Security, and
Norton Anti-Virus. I have not tried uninstalling because it is extremely
time consuming. But i may have to resort to that. Can anyone provide any
information!? Please help!
