SP2 installs ok but pc won't turn off

This isn't a major problem just a bit annoying. Since installing sp2, when I
shut down, my laptop goes through all the motions of shutting down except
where it's supposed to turn off. I have to wait for it to finish shutting
down and then manually turn off.
