have just installed SP2 and now there is an additional network icon in my
tray = there are now 2. The original for my DSL network connection (which
connects fine as before to the internet) and a new one whcih calls itself
LAN connection. This new one has a yellow triangle. When I click on it I get
the message that there is limited or no connection. Is this icon which
consatntly shows an irritating yellow triangle + exclamation mark absolutely
neccessary?

Thanks
Iskender

I am not quite sure where you mean but I still have 2 network icons even if
I only have one connection/connection type.

Just wanted to add for those who haven't noticed yet, when the pop up blocker
works, there will be a small icon in the taskbar with a red circle and slash
through it. You can click on it and work from there.

I'm just guessing that the limited connectivity icon is for a feature that
your ISP doesn't use but it's kicking in anyway. Could also be only for
Firewire or some routers. Keep it in mind for the future if changing modems
or connection hardware.
