Same thing happened to me. I am convinced it is a
configuration/compatibility problem because the second
computer in the house, using the same wireless
connection, works fine (did not install update,
luckily). There was also a message that popped up after
downloading the upgrade that warned of a compatibility
issue. I followed the instructions, but something is
still wrong.
There is a feature called "repair" - I think I got it by
right clicking on my wireless connection icon at the
bottom right of the screen. It runs a diagnostic test to
figure out what the problem is. It has identified mine
as "Clear DNS cache could not be completed" and told me
to contact my network manager. Great.
I'm using the Microsoft Wireless-G Base Station M-700 ...
but can't find any troubleshooting info online to get the
thing to work. If you have any ideas ...
