OK, thanks to my marvelous IT guy at work, I got my computer start-up problem
resolved... now it gets to Windows and everything *looks* normal. I know for
sure SP2 did not load completely due to an "access is denied" error and all
the mess afterwards, described in a previous post. So now I want to
uninstall SP2, and take a long, deep breath. However, when I go to
Add/Remove Programs, and start the uninstall process, a window appears, which
says "setup dedected the following programs on your computer", lists all my
programs, and says "If SP2 is removed, these programs might not run properly.
Do you want to continue?" Given my experience with SP2 so far, I do not
want to continue... I just want things to be they were yesterday, before I
clicked on the Install button for SP2. Any advice on what can happen if I
uninstall an improperly (incompletely) installed SP2?
Thanks!
