sp2 release date

when is sp2 for win xp coming out? i heard it was today,
but i checked and it wasn't there. i dont need the
redistributable pack, just the home pack.

It is today, but is being released in stages

Currently SP2 is being offered via Automatic Update. It is scheduled for
release to the V5 site in the near term future.

Interactive download is not due until later this month.
Automatic Update started availability today.
However the total number per day is limited for Automatic Update.
