Once i installed SP2 The resoulution was stuck on 800x600. When i try to
change the setting higher, it doesn't work. Also, The color is stuck on
4-bit. You can imaine how annoying having only 12 colors is. Obviously, there
both display problems. When i did a system restore i still had both problems.
Please help if you can!

Try reinstalling the driver of your videocard.

The first thing to try is go to the website of your video
card/motherboard manufacturer and get the latest video driver.

Hi:

It sounds like your system has not recognized your graphics card, and is
thus using the default VGA settings. First thing I would check is the Device
Manager list to see if your graphics card is being recognized correctly. Or
look for any other "banged out" items in that DM list related to display
(monitor, dual monitor, for example).

I doubt you will be able to update any drivers until you get the hardware
configuratin sorted out.

As to why this happened when installing SP2, no idea. Is this on onboard
graphics/video chipset, or an actual card? Or possibly both and XP SP2
picked up on the wrong one?
