Has anyone seen any? I still see the spinning wheel and can't do a thing
until it goes away. I double click and MP3 file spinning wheel until Winamp
fires up, which used to take no time now I don't know what it's doing but
takes longer and still can't do anything with a $800 computer until the
wheel stops turning.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen improvements, Rich

Disable Aero, that will give you some improvement. Change the theme to
classic windows.

I have not seen any change one way or the other with SP2. But your
"spinning wheel" problem is strange. I suggest you run Process Explorer
when the wheel spins and find out which process(es) is doing it.

Yes. I installed SP2 about a week ago and was pleasantly surprised to see
a noticeable improvement particularly when opening programs or shortcuts.

The speed improvement one sees may be different depending on the system
configuration. My system e.g. has 4GBs of RAM (with 32bit Home Premium)
and that may react differently than a system with 2GBs of RAM.

Of course. And, no doubt, depending on other configuration issues as well.
(My system is Vista Ultimate with 4 GB RAM).
