After installing SP2 I opened 'my computer' and literally watched as both
drives vanished from my removeable storage section. The cd rom drive wont
open, the dvd drive will but wont read so I cant even reformat. I tried to
restore to the day before I installed the SP2 and still nothing. I've been
reading the posts and it seems I'm not the only one with this issue. One
response was to go into hardware manager and reinstall the drivers, but the
cd rom and dvd drives aren't even listed in my manager so I cant do this.
any help out here?? thanks for your time!!!
