Robin, I'm right there with ya! I have a brand new Windows XP Home Edition
SP1 installation. I did everything the instructions said to set my system up
for the SP2 download, including the use of that Microsoft utility that checks
your system for you. But, like you, I get the stuck icon in the toolbar. I
have tried changing the Update settings from a certain day/time to "download
whenever and notify me," rebooted and eveything, but nothing has worked. I
hope somebody can help us. I don't want to install any of my other software,
drivers, etc. until I have SP2 installed and stable. Any suggestions out
there? We would very much appreciate them! John
