sp2 unable to install java

This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists
and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that
this is a valid Windows Installer package...
How do i rectify this problem..

Download it again (Offline Installation):
http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Reboot
Disable all unnecessary programs including anti virus.
Start the installation by double-clicking the download and following
prompts.
