SP2 update on CD vs. dowload

MS sent me a CD to update my Windows XP from SP1 to SP2. This was about 10
months ago and I'm just now getting around to doing it. Now, I'm wondering
if I should use the CD or download SP2 from the MS web site because the
current download might be more "up-to-date" than the CD. I.e. have there
been any "fixes" to the SP2 "fix" that was supplied 10 months ago.

Thanks.

Chet

There have been no changes and do not expect any.
SP-2 as originally released is identical to the current release.
To have an update for a Service Pack is a rare exception.

Windows XP SP-1 was updated with SP-1a because of court action.
The only change was the removal of Microsoft Virtual Machine.
No other changes were made to SP-1.

Use the CD you already have.

Jupiter,
Thanks for the quick and MVP-authoratative reply. I just remember years ago
updating MS Office 97 (think that was the program) and the SR's kept coming
out and being re-revised.
