I have XP home SP1.
I downloaded the files months ago to install SP2.
Upon installation, I selected the "cancel" option.
SP2 does not show in Add/Remove programs. It also does not show as an
option in WindowsUpdate.
I had updated some Service Packs that have (SP2) in the filename, apparently
WindowsUpdate thought I had updated to SP2, even though I hadn't. (I even
checked in System Properties, it says I have SP1.
I tried uninstalling all of the Service Packs that say "SP2" and re-run
WindowsUpdate, but it still will not recognize that I haven't completed the
installation for SP2.
Can somebody please tell me how I can get the Windows Update site to
continue the installation of SP2?

Thank you!

The items with "SP2" were not part of SP-2.
Instead they were updates, some probably installed before SP-2 existed.
Thos updates are incorporated in SP-2 and the entries will go away once SP-2
is installed.

Follow the Service Pack Installation Checklist to install SP-2:

Thank you Jupiter, but the only thing I can find on there that might solve
the problem is to order the CD, which I did last night. Is that right? Did
I miss something?

The entire checklist can help, but one of the most important is to have SP-2
on CD which you just ordered.
Normally it takes less than 2 weeks to get the CD.

Did you check to see if you have any declined updates?
I suspect that cancelling an update puts it into that last.
Then you can clear the list to see them again.
