SP2 won´t install

Hello,

When checking the installation history in Windows Update Site i see right
now 5 entries with Windows XP Service Pack 2, Status Failed, Source
Automatic Updates.

I already downloaded the "Windows XP Service Pack 2 Network Installation
Package for IT Professionals and Developers" and when trying to install
receive a message saying this version couldn't be updated uninstall and then
to run again the update... the problem is that this is a slipstream
installation of version 2149 (XP SP2 RC2)... is there any way to workaround
? Will be available a version that allows the update or the only solution is
to do a clean install ?

The information available pointed in the direction that the RTM version
would install over RC1 or RC2 or whatever, does this not refer to slipstream
installation too ???

Some who had installed 2149, 2161 and/or 2162 have found that RTM does not
install properly over these RCs. I'd recommend uninstalling 2149, André,
before installing RTM.

Is the machine a laptop?

Sorry for the late reply... I already solve the problem reinstalled
everything, this happen in both a laptop and a workstation.
