SP2Install problem

I had to do a total quick restore on my laptop and all automatic updates
installed except SP2. When it tries to install,it gets about 1/3 installed
and then states that "cannot copy shell32.dll" I have to cancell (as it will
not any further) and then it starts to "uninstall". After this, my computer
does not work properly and I have to do a system restore back a couple of
hours. I've tried 3 times to install SP2 and get the same message each time.
I'm tired of doing a System Restore. Can someone help.
