There is *one* SP3 for Windows XP. There may be language versions - but
there is *one* SP3 in essence. There is not a specific version for Windows
XP MCE.
You should 'trouble this newsgroup with the specifics' - as that is the only
reason these newsgroups exist. They are certainly not for people to come
post their successes (if that was the case - even though there have been a
few, relatively, posting these over the years - this is a failure.)
The release notes:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...1/relnotes.htm
The Overview:
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=115773
The point being that if you are experiencing failures - you will need to
troubleshoot them.
Downloading and using the IT download may/may not do anything for you -
except that you will have everything of SP3 local instead of depending on
the Internet and the process to determine which parts you need of SP3 doing
their thing over the Internet.
To my knowledge - the package in all forms will run successfully on MCE
(given the parameters in the release notes and/or the overview.)
