SP3 Install requires AC power

Except I can't provide this, I charge my batteries from another laptop as
this one has a broken connector.
Is there a workaround (surely)?

I'd be surprised (maybe I will be) if there is a way around that.

You might try changing your power options or the hardware profile of the
system or something... Maybe a dock? I know the power adapter may not
ACTUALLY charge your battery - but that could be a hardware issue related to
just the actual charging and it may still detect the laptop is plugged into
power...?

Tried changing to desktop profile, doesn't work. Plugging in the power cord
doesn't work... Don't have a dock...
The power requirement is a safety feature so that SP3 install doesn't mess
up windows, but here it's forcing me to spend $200+ (and a lot of time +
waiting for arrival) on a new motherboard, when I have no other reason to do
so!
