SP4 and Updated Components of Windows 2000 Professional

Hello all,

I have done a fresh install of Windows 2000 Pro and then straight away
downloaded and installed SP4.
Later, I learnt that some components of Windows 2000 also need to be
updated e.g. directX needs to be
updated to 9.0c, .net framework to 2.0, etc. etc.

My questions are:

1- Would it be ok if I upated all these components after the
installation of SP4, or should I have updated the
components before installing SP4.


What I am contemplating is that may be some fixes in SP4 are applicable
to updated components only and
as these components were not updated when I installed the service pack,
I may need to re-install the
service pack after updating these components.

2- Where can I find a complete list of all the components of Win 2K Pro
that have been upgraded?
