Hi, im having a problem when i use my philips 700nc webcam, if its installed,
everytime i start messenger live i get a error and messenger crash, if i
click at the "to see what data this error report... click here" i can see
clearly that the problem is a file called Ksproxy.ax. if i delete, unregister
this file or i uninstall the camera, my messenger comes back to normal.

i have try both drivers, the ones on the cd and the most updated ones at
philips webpage, i also have the latest messenger live as well as a fully
updated Winxp Sp2.

This happen on 2 differents computers, a desktop and a laptop (both xp) i
think it may be related to WMP 11, i already called philips and since the
camera works with the program they install with the drivers, they say its a
messenger problem and that i have to call microsoft.

please can anyone help me? i cant find a similar problem at google and since
the camera its not mine but my friends, i cant go there too often to try to
workaround the problem miself and he still use his camera in a win98se
machine so i cant get it to test it on mine.

thank you

Greetings,

When Messenger starts, it enumerates devices like webcams, and as such this makes perfect
sense.

If Phillips really is unwilling to escalate possible issues with their drivers, I would
suggest refusing to purchase products from them in the future.
