Speech recognation

How can I stop Speech Recognation? I have not install it but when the
pc starts up SR pops up and ask for setting up the microphone etc. I
dont want to use SR.

Speech Recognition is set to run at start up in the registry key
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run . One of the easiest ways
to stop it is to download sysinternals from the MS website and run the
program autoruns. With that program you can disable and enable the
autorunning of any program. Using autoruns relieves you of playing with the
registry.

A key with 'speech' is not there.

I used autoruns, but no entry with the string 'speech'.

There are several keys wuth 'sapisvr' Whuch one must I choose??

B.t.w. when I started Nero, Speech pops up.

What happens when I rename the map in explorer where speech is
installed??

Go to Control Panel and open Speech Recognition. Click on Advanced speech
options in the upper right. Remove the check from the box next to, "Start
Speech Recognition at startup."

The next time you reboot your computer speech recognition should not start.
