Speech recognition - digital recorder compatibility

Is there a hardware compatibility list showing which digital voice recorders
are compatible with Vista? I previously used DNS, and an Olympus digital
recorder. I would dictate my memos into the Olympus and transfer the sound
file to my computer, and then I could convert the sound file to text in
Microsoft Word. Can I do it the same way with Vista (Ultimate)?
