Is there any way to remove the American spelling in Mail ? I have Office
2007 so why cant I make the English ( Australian ) spelling apply to Mail ?

I don't think you can, but you can ADD Australian spelling..

Windows Mail only has 4 spell check languages. It doesn't use Office's
dictionary.

It doesn't use Office's

Outlook express did, are you sure this is changed, and why?

OE didnt have a spell checker and MS added this feature for mail. But like
always they think we all want to speak with an American accent.

And there should be no reason why you cant just "easily" add another
language pack from somewhere like office

when you added a spell checker for office, then OE automatically could use
it...

in any language you added from office

This was raised recently in the microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail group -
thread "Dictionary" - a suggestion was posted that by using Windows Live
Mail other dictionaries could be substituted.

Haven't tried it myself, but maybe worth persuing.
