Spider Solitaire Crashes

Why does this game keep crashing on me? During a game, windows randomly pop
up asking me to change the options or to reset the statistics. Usually, the
only way to continue is to start Task Manager and click on "switch tasks".
Sometimes I have to use Task Manager to kill the game. Clicking on the other
boxes do nothing.
