Spooler continuously accessing the net

How can I find the parent that is using spooler to access the next
continuously?

This should not be happening.
Also, I posted this once before, but it never posted to the group for some
reason.

One way is to download sysinternals at Microsoft. This is a group of
utilities. You can run process explorer. It will tell you a lot more than
Task Manager. One of the things it tells you is what parent started a
process.

I should also have pointed out that sysinternals contains a utility called
autoruns which will tell you how processes got started - did they get
started in the startup folders, the registry, etc. You can also stop a
process from starting by simply removing a check mark beside its name and
later you can place a check mark to cause the process to run again.

in addition to the other advice, do a malware scan.
there is malware that tries to disguise itself as spooler.

It is most likely a print driver checking for updates.

I also don't understand why it just recently started accessing the net
constantly.
