Using: Vista Home Premium 32 Bit, Service Pack 2

While trying to get to the bottom of some BSODs, I really went through
my crash dumps. Two things kept coming up usbport.sys and spqe.sys .
The exact message was " Probably caused by : spqe.sys ( spqe+11d54 )"
Numerous searches have come up with nothing on spqe.sys. Does anyone
know what this is, and it's relation to usbport.sys?

Just adding to Malke's answer. In the German forums this is a known Hijacker (
spqe.sys) and it is suggested to use the hijack forums (groups) for further info.

Thanks Peter! One of the reasons being multilingual is so cool. I wish I
weren't too old to learn another language. Oh well, maybe in a parallel
universe... ;-)

I appreciate the information.

Best regards,

Thanks for the replies. I came across the Italian forum, but I don't
use Alcohol (I do use Daemon Tools but it has never been a problem) so I
discounted that. I am going to do a deep virus and malware scan and
give the clean boot a try.

If the deep scans don't turn anything up, I wouldn't discount Daemon Tools.
