SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP 3 fails with Error 0xC0000005

Tried to install the SP3 several times but installation always failed with
Error Code 0xC0000005.

I tried this:
1. Used windows authentication instead of SQL Server Authentication
2. Used Administrator privileges
3. Removed MSXML 6 Service Pack 2 with Cleaning Tool#

My System:
Windwos XP Professinal SP 3

Please help me.

0xC0000005 STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION

How long has this issue been going on for ?

What firewall and antivirus/security suite is being used ?

Has the system been scanned with the installed antivirus software and
has said AV been kept up to date with it's latest definitions ?
