SQL Server 2005 Express SP2 Failing to Install

Like everyone else, I am having trouble installing the update. Error message
"0x2B26". I've seen the request for the summary file so here it is from the
hotfix folder:

Convert it to decimal: 0x2B26 == 11046

Seems clear enough. Did you check this or change the password?


BTW posting in WU NG for help diagnosing these symptoms is a bit like
running down the steet chasing a delivery truck hoping that you will get some
help with a new appliance it just delivered... ; }

Download the update and install it manually. You WILL need the original
install CD.
