sql server pack 2 update problems

i have an ACER EXTANSA E Series computer, imy SQLSERVER UPDATE keeps failing
why? i have contacted microsoft + they said cos i am a pc user not a business
i dont need it, is this true? if so how do i rid the yellow shield cos every
time i turn comp off its doing an update. HELP

If what you say about Microsoft telling you that it is only used in a
business then this is just one more example of the lame responses and lack
of any real knowledge these boneheads actually have. This is an untrue
statement and I would call them back and tell them you expect some real
help. Ask for the name of the person you speak with before you even start.
This will make them think before they give you such an inaccurate reply. I
first had difficulties that were resolved so you will have to search for
clues and help and post more about the problems you are experiencing.
