SQL in vista

I have vista home basic. Can I install SQL server on it?.what edition of SQL
(standard,express,enterprise,..) I have to install? which prerequisites my
vista must have?

SQL Server 2005 SP2 and higher are supported in Vista.

SQL Server 2005 Express cost you nothing. The other editions you must
install the workstation versions of the solutions as the server editions
will not run any Vista O/S workstation editions. Unless you have a pirated
version of standard or enterprise, it's going to cost you a few pretty
pennies indeed.
