I haven't been able to find a solution to work either. I don't know
if I believe that there is a conflict with 'other' software as has
been thrown about as this is on a brand new Sony desktop computer that
has nothing loaded except for those programs loaded by Sony (pc is
only a few weeks old and nothing has been done on it yet). It only
has Vista Home Premium, Microsoft Works (Word), Norton Antivirue, and
Adobe Reader. Pretty standard stuff. Automatic Updates was on by
default and hadn't been turned off yet. The PC was up-to-date with
patches prior to this past weeks updates. Unfortunately, a DVD hadn't
been created yet of the install media so this is a really big problem.

I have also seen this issue on several other PC's today alone and
there is no common thread among them except that they all appear to
have received the latest Microsoft Updates.
