Restart the system . Tap the F8 key . Choose MS-DOS Mode.
At the C:\ prompt type
scanreg /restore ( note the space between the g and the / )
Press enter. Choose the backup of the registry made just prior to
installing the update. Reboot the system.
Which update did you install and was your antivirus program running
during the installation process ?
