I have a computer without internet access, running WinME. I would like to
install updates. Is there some way to download a standalone installer for
this? Any help is appreciated.

The Windows Update Catalog URL for Windows XP is http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...en/default.asp.
To access Windows Update Catalog, click Windows
Update Catalog link under See Also. If you do not see this link,
click Personalize Windows Update and select Display the link to
the Windows Update Catalog.

I have ME (Millennium Edition), and I wish to update, not upgrade, meaning
that I would like any late OS software for ME that has come out since I
originally installed it __ years ago.
I am looking for the 'standalone' install, not the web-driven install since
the computer does not have internet access (ie. I need an *.exe file that I
can download onto a web-able computer, that I can then copy to mobile media
(CD) to install on the web-inable computer)

That's what he told you..

Go to the windows update catalog, and you can download the individual
updates for ME and burn them to a CD. The catalog is not the same as the
Windows Update web service.

Do you see where the OP's confusion came in?
OP asked about WinME, Cary's reply stated WinXP though the info was
correct for ME, OP replies with "ME not XP!", and then your post.
As far as the OP knew that URI was for XP, not ME, info. I thought
Cary had replied with XP info until I caught the "v4" instead of "v5" in
the URI.
