Hi,

Just wonder if there is any "standard" method to remove Windows update
manually (not from add/remove program).

Thanks

1. Turn on visibility of invisible folders/files
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS
3. Navigate to the appropriate $NtUninstallxxxxxxxx$ folder, and open it
4. Open the folder spuninst
5. Run spuninst.exe inside folder spuninst

Hi;

If you mean how to manually remove a specific update, see Robin's post.

If you mean you want to remove Windows Update itself, that is just a
website. I don't know of any way to remove it from the IE Tools pulldown
menu.

If you mean you want to remove Automatic Updates, you can use the Control
Panel applet to turn it Off.

Be very sure you want to cease using either or both of the above. It could
leave your system open to serious problems.

Thanks, I was thinking removing some Windows updates that had caused
some problem in our system.
